The Kosovo Women’s Economic Forum held a meeting with representatives from the business sector and civil society as part of the project “More Choices – Family-Friendly Workplaces.” This project aims to strengthen dialogue with the government and the private sector to promote work models that support a balance between professional responsibilities and family life.
Policymakers and the private sector must create opportunities that support individuals’ professional aspirations while ensuring they can fulfill family goals and promote equal caregiving roles between men and women. During the meeting, participants discussed legal gaps in Kosovo that negatively impact women’s employment, particularly women from non-majority communities. Business representatives expressed their support for the initiative and committed to cooperating in advancing the importance of family-friendly workplace policies.
The need to identify model companies that have implemented and successfully adopted such policies was also highlighted.
This project is supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and funded by the Austrian Development Agency (ADA).
